Right of Judgment

When I was younger, I was quick to judge

I’d studied the tenets

Knew right from wrong

I could see another’s sin as easily as my own

But life happened

And I learned that sometimes easy judgments

Don’t account for understanding

And I learned not to believe all that I knew

In the letting go of judgment

It turns out I made a space

For the voice of Spirit

To sing in my ear
